About the Affordable Housing Inventory for Washington State
In its 2007 budget, the Washington State Legislature asked the Housing Division of the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED) to create an inventory of housing assistance programs, including all programs with state, local, federal, or Finance Commission funding, from the 1999-2001 biennium through the 2007-2009 biennium.
CTED awarded the contract for completion of this inventory to the Alliance. This PDF file includes the language authorizing the project, in Section 1031, Subsection 11.
Why the Alliance?
The Alliance took on the Affordable Housing Inventory for Washington State as a way to expand its data capabilities, and because the project provides the opportunity for Washington's affordable housing community to trumpet its successes in building and maintaining safe, decent, affordable housing for Washington's families.
