Deep-pocketed lobby groups including those for landlords, big real estate interests, and developers continue to work to roll back renter protections and homelessness prevention strategies that keep people safe and housed. The Housing Alliance will fight back against bills, or amendments to bills, that increase housing instability or threaten to roll back hard-fought renter and homelessness protections.
As our movement continues to build power and make more progress each year, the corporate lobbyist wing also grows in number. Staying strong and vigilant is key to protecting progress.

Making sure that rules and laws are clear and fair so that tenants can have peace of mind, freedom to plan for the future, and safe, healthy homes is a fundamental value of the Housing Alliance and a key element in the Housing Alliance's "Roadmap to Housing Justice" – a comprehensive strategy to end the housing and homelessness crisis in Washington.
