Scott is an Army veteran who served eight years.When Scott returned from duty, he experienced daily stressors, which made it difficult for him to function. So the Johnston Family started in Yakima Neighborhood Health Services (YNHS) transitional housing, a development made possible thanks to the Washington State Housing Trust Fund. Today, he’s in a WorkFirst job training program learning new skills to maintain full time employment. He and his family now live in a safe, healthy, affordable permanent home (pictured here) owned by Next Step Housing, a partner of YNHS.
